MR.MRS The Hair Experts began in 2020, when Cara and Bash set out to create a space that blended their passion for hair, their love for people, and their commitment to exceptional service. What started as a boutique salon and barbershop on the beautiful Clontarf Beach waterfront has now grown into two signature spaces that honour their vision:
The MRS. Collective and The MR. Collective — a brother–sister duo of destinations designed to elevate the MR.MRS brand and offer clients an experience tailored just for them.

The MRS. Collective is a space created by women, for women — a sanctuary where skill, support, and sisterhood come together. Our team of specialised stylists each bring their own niche expertise, but share one united purpose: to help women feel confident, understood, and beautifully cared for. A third‑generation barber, he is impeccably trained and deeply skilled in his craft. His rich barbering heritage shines through in every service — from precision cuts to straight‑razor work, hot towels, and traditional men’s facial shaves that deliver the closest finish imaginable. With 14 years of industry experience and a successful history as the owner of Gentlemans Barbers in Auckland, Bash brings authenticity and mastery to every appointment.

After 3.5 beautiful years with The MRS. Collective, Kate has made the brave decision to begin a new career chapter. As her work family, we are incredibly proud of her and fully support this next adventure — even though saying goodbye to her on the salon floor won’t be easy.

Kate will be starting her studies from 10th March, so her availability will be limited, with her final day with us being 17th April.
